Your Child’s Smile, Her Passion
Dr. Shabnam Toopchi founded Kids Dental Corner to create a pediatric dental office in Burbank where children feel calm, safe, and excited to visit. With years of experience in children’s dentistry, she helps kids overcome dental anxiety and build confidence in caring for their smiles.
Her focus goes beyond fixing teeth — she emphasizes prevention, education, and healthy habits that last through childhood and the teen years. Every visit is tailored to your child’s needs, making appointments stress-free for parents and positive for kids.
Preventive Care & Learning
Fluoride, cleanings, and guidance on oral hygiene keep little teeth strong. Visits are also a great time to ask questions and stay updated on your child’s dental health.
Early Detection of Issues
Kids grow quickly, and regular checkups help catch early signs of cavities or bite concerns before they become bigger problems.
Monitoring Growth & Development
We track tooth eruption, speech-related concerns, and overall progress at each visit. Addressing small issues early helps prevent more complex treatments later.
Caring for Little Smiles
Questions about your child’s dental visit? From first checkups to gentle care practices, we’re here to guide you every step of the way.
Children should visit the dentist at least every six months for routine checkups and cleanings. According to American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry guidelines, their very first visit is recommended by age one or whenever that first baby tooth decides to appear!
Yes! Even though baby teeth will eventually fall out, they play a crucial role in chewing, speech development, and guiding permanent teeth. Untreated cavities can lead to pain, infections, and premature tooth loss, which may require extensive future dental work.
If your child has a cavity, early intervention ensures a quick and comfortable solution, preventing further damage and discomfort.
If your infant struggles with breastfeeding or bottle-feeding, has difficulty gaining weight, or experiences excessive gas due to swallowing air, they may have a tongue or lip tie. In older children, speech difficulties and trouble eating certain solid foods may also indicate the need for evaluation.
A consultation with our experienced pediatric dentists will help determine whether a frenectomy is the right solution for your child.

In most cases, no a pediatric dental office is typically better equipped to handle toothaches, cavities, and other common dental problems. Emergency rooms often lack specialized pediatric dental services, and visits can be significantly more expensive. However, if a serious infection or injury is making it difficult for your child to breathe or swallow, or if you suspect a head injury, the ER is the right choice.
EXCELLENT Based on 45 reviews Posted on Kevin STrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We absolutely love Kids Dental Corner! The entire team is so friendly, patient, and amazing with kids. From the moment we walk in, my child feels comfortable and even excited for their visit—which says a lot for a dentist’s office! The staff always takes the time to explain everything in a way that’s fun and easy for kids to understand, and the office itself is bright, welcoming, and spotless.Posted on Sara VTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I highly recommend this Dentistry for kids, staff is Amazing, very patient with my daughter and very kid friendly.Posted on Casey KTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can’t say enough great things about Kids Dental Corner Pediatric Dentistry! Dr. Regala and Dr. Toopchi are both FANTASTIC. The hygienists are patient and knowledgeable. The staff is always on top of things and my kids LOVE GOING TO THE DENTIST!!!! (Wait. What???? But, YES! It’s TRUE! So true in fact that when my daughter needed a “consequence” for behavior, I told her she would not get to come to her brother’s appointment this time. Tears ensued. She asked for pictures and video. 🤣🥰) The office is bright and clean. The waiting room has a huge fish in a tank and tables and benches for the kids to sit at that are set up to look like a train. Huge hit. They also have stickers or prizes along with a brand new (very cool) toothbrush and dental goodie bag. They have screens at every chair (my youngest doesn’t do screens yet but it’s not a problem). And they have parents sit with the younger patients in their laps for comfort and assistance. They always try to make the experience of every step of the cleaning and exam fun and engaging for the kids. Incredible!!!! I’d give 10 stars if I could.Posted on Linda HTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dr. Zinnia is simply the best pediatric dentist my kids have ever known.
